Terms of Service

The rules for using the Investo Shots app and website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Investo Shots mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Investo Shots is a mobile application that helps you discover and follow market news with AI-generated short summaries. We aggregate articles from third-party sources and may present AI-generated summaries and sentiment indicators for convenience.

The Service may include (depending on availability and your settings):

  • Personalized news feed based on your selected stocks and market indices
  • AI-generated article summaries and sentiment labels (may be inaccurate)
  • Watchlists for stocks and indices
  • Saving articles for later and offline access on your device
  • Optional push notifications for market updates and app events

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Guest Mode

Some parts of the Service may be accessible without an account (for example, browsing certain screens in a limited "guest mode"). If you choose to create an account later, your experience may change and additional features may become available.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

3.4 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Where available, you may request deletion of your account through the app settings.
Account deletion
If you request account deletion, we will take steps to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, subject to limited exceptions (for example, where we must retain certain records for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational reasons). Some information may remain on your device (such as cached or saved articles) until you remove the app or clear app storage.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated means to access the Service without our permission
  • Collect or harvest user information without consent
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users or third-party sources), features, and functionality are owned by Investo Shots and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Third-Party Content

News articles and financial data displayed in the Service are sourced from third-party providers. We do not claim ownership of such content. All trademarks, service marks, and company names belong to their respective owners.

5.3 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INVESTO SHOTS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS FOR THE SERVICE.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Investo Shots and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
